Calling all volunteers!
This year we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Inaugural Shreveport – Bossier Mini Maker Fair! We have upgraded our MINI Maker Faire to, not one but two full-blown MAKER FAIRES with Makers from all around the world, the U.S. and locally…and we need you!
Double the Maker Faires, double the fun!
That’s right -two Shreveport – Bossier Maker Faires mean twice the creativity, twice the inspiration, and twice the chance to experience “The Greatest Show & Tell on Earth!”

Dates, Locations & Times:
- March 29 & 30th, 2025 inside the “Hangar Full of STEM” at the 2025 Defenders of Liberty Airshow, Barksdale AFB, Bossier City, LA. Gates open at 9:00 am. Parking and other details can be found here: https://defendersoflibertyairshow.com/
- April 12, 2025 at Sci-Port Discovery Center, Shreveport, LA. Time: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Why Volunteer?
The Maker Faire cannot happen without you! Many volunteers are needed to make these events possible. Please consider volunteering your time prior to, during, or after the event. Only through the help of many volunteers can we meet our goal of making both events an enjoyable experience for Makers and guests alike.
What would I do as a volunteer?
Tasks include everything from event setup, tear-down, assisting the Makers, admissions/ticketing, general assistance/runner, activity stations such as our soldering station, and many more. There’s something for everyone! With our web-based sign up, you can choose what you want to do and when you want to do it.
We will be updating volunteer needs until the start of the event. If none of these work, but you want to be notified of new positions, or if you have questions, comments, or special limitations of which we should be aware, feel free to reach out to us at Shreveportmakerfaire@gmail.com.

NOTE: You do not have to become a SignUp Genius member to volunteer (but frankly it’s easier for you to revise your selections and for us to communicate with you.)
Note: Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age to volunteer on their own. Volunteers under 18 may participate, but they must have a parent/guardian/responsible party working with them during their shift. Please note, we may solicit you to perform a different duty as tasks, last minute emergencies, and volunteers vary. We will work to ensure reassigned tasks are in keeping with your original request.
